Travelodge London Raynes Park

The Travelodge London Raynes Park hotel is a good value hotel south of Wimbledon in London’s southwestern suburbs. It has excellent transport connections making it easy to get in and out of central London.

Travelodge London Raynes Park has recently been updated to feature Travelodge’s new interior design, which means that this is a nicer place to stay than the average Travelodge.

Rooms at the London Raynes Park Travelodge are a mix of double and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.

Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

This Travelodge has a small bar and cafe and there are plenty of other places nearby for a drink.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods, although it generally works out much cheaper than more centrally-located hotels.

Raynes Park is a residential area just south of Wimbledon in London’s southwestern suburbs. The immediate neighbourhood has a good selection of places to eat and drink as well as a couple of small supermarkets (including one on the ground floor of the hotel).

The hotel is only a two-minute walk from Raynes Park railway station (in zone four). Each hour there are 14 trains from Raynes Park station to London Waterloo and there are also direct trains from here to Hampton Court. The journey time to Waterloo is around 20 minutes (except for two trains each hour that take an hour) and Hampton Court (for Hampton Court Palace) is 17 minutes away.

There is limited free parking available making this hotel a good option if you’re driving. Access to the hotel car park is via Durham Road.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
