Travelodge London Romford The Quadrant

The Travelodge London Romford The Quadrant hotel is on a pedestrian mall in the centre of Romford in London’s eastern suburbs. It is a cheaper option than staying in central London and there are frequent trains from Romford into the city.

This hotel has air-conditioned rooms, which is unusual for a hotel in this price range.

This hotel has its own restaurant and bar but there are plenty of better places to eat and drink nearby.

Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be much more expensive staying here during peak periods although in most cases this hotel is a cheaper alternative to more centrally-located hotels.

The hotel is in the centre of Romford, which is a major suburban centre in the east of London with lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. It is less than a 10-minute walk to Romford railway station (in zone six), which has frequent trains to central London. There are eight Elizabeth line trains per hour to London Liverpool Street station with two of these continuing on to Heathrow Airport plus two express trains per hour (with one stop at Stratford). The journey time to Liverpool Street is around half an hour.

Being located on a pedestrian mall this hotel is less prone to outside traffic noise than the other Travelodge in Romford.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
