Travelodge Reading Whitley

The Travelodge Reading Whitley has recently been updated to feature Travelodge’s new interior design, which puts this hotel a step above the average Travelodge.

All of the rooms at this hotel include comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

Unlike most other hotels in Reading, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be much more expensive staying here during peak periods.

This Travelodge is in Whitley, which is around 3.2km (2 miles) south of Reading town centre. Although there is a family-friendly pub next door (the World Turned Upside Down), it is not the most vibrant area. There is a bus stop across the road with buses running every 10 minutes into the town centre.

This hotel has free parking with 36 parking spaces available and it is worth considering if you’re driving and need somewhere with parking.

Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
