The YHA Oxford youth hostel is the best of Oxford’s hostels. It is a purpose-built hostel near the railway station that has nice common areas and a high standard of accommodation for the price.
Accommodation is of a high standard and includes both private rooms (double, twin and family rooms) as well as shared dormitories (with a maximum of six people in a room).
The hostel has a good range of common areas, which include several lounges (including a games room, a TV lounge and a library), a small kitchen, laundry and a nice outdoor area with picnic tables.
Wi-Fi wireless internet access is free in common areas.
The Corner Cafe and Bar serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is licensed to serve alcohol.
The hostel is located right next door to Oxford railway station making it the most convenient place to stay if you’re travelling by train. It is around a 10-minute walk into the city centre, an 11-minute walk to the Ashmolean Museum, a 12-minute walk to Carfax Tower and a 16-minute walk to the historic area of the University of Oxford where you can find the Bodleian Library, Radcliffe Camera and the University Church of St Mary the Virgin.
