The Yorkshire County Cricket Club Official Museum at Headingley Stadium has exhibits about the history of Yorkshire cricket including displays about famous players and key moments in the history of Yorkshire cricket.
What to see at the Yorkshire County Cricket Club Official Museum
The museum has a number of exhibits that highlight Yorkshire’s cricketing heritage, local Yorkshire cricketing legends and iconic moments from Yorkshire cricket.
It features an exhibit on Yorkshire legends including Yorkshire cricketers who have gone on to become internationally renowned. There are also artefacts on display including bats and balls, a timeline of Yorkshire’s greatest players and a small cinema where you can watch a film about Yorkshire cricket history.
Visiting the Yorkshire County Cricket Club Official Museum
The Yorkshire County Cricket Club Official Museum is located inside Headingley Cricket Ground, which is 3.5km (2¼ miles) northwest of Leeds city centre. Buses into the city centre stop a three-minute walk away on Cardigan Road and there are more frequent buses a six-minute walk away on Otley Road. Burley Park railway station is an 11-minute walk from the museum.
The museum is only open during home Yorkshire cricket matches.
Admission to the museum is by a £3 donation, although entry is free for YCCC members.
