It was converted from two 19th-century townhouses into a hotel around 50 years ago and was most recently renovated in 2016.

The 56 hotel rooms are all air condition with comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms.

Guests have the choice of single, double, twin or family rooms and these are a little larger than what you would find in similar hotels. Single rooms are 12m² (129 sq ft), double rooms are 16m² (172 sq ft), and twin and family rooms are 19m² (204 sq ft).

As it is a relatively small hotel, there are not a lot of public areas other than the lobby area and a breakfast room; however, the central location means that there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The hotel is on Penywern Road, a residential street lined with hotels, which runs parallel to Earls Court tube station (the station is a two-minute walk from the hotel).

The hotel’s proximity to Earls Court Tube station (on the District and Piccadilly lines) means that you can quickly get to other areas of London. From here you can get to South Kensington in four minutes, Kings Cross St Pancras in 20 minutes, Piccadilly Circus in 12 minutes and Westminster in 13 minutes. The Piccadilly line also serves as a direct link to Heathrow Airport with a journey time of around 35 minutes.

Earls Court is a popular area for hotels and there is a good choice of places to eat and drink along Earls Court Road and it is within easy walking distance to most of the main points of interest in Kensington.

Nearby attractions include the Design Museum, Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Chelsea Football Club’s Stamford Bridge stadium, which are all within a 25-minute walk from the hotel.
