Blackpool South railway station is the smaller of Blackpool’s two stations, although it can be convenient for some travellers whose accommodation is in the southern end of Blackpool.
Blackpool South station is served by an hourly train to Preston where you can change for services on the West Coast Main Line including trains to Birmingham New Street, Carlisle, Glasgow, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester and London Euston.
This railway line also has stops at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Squires Gate (which is close to Blackpool Airport) and some people use Blackpool South station to make short local trips in the Blackpool area.
