The Clifton Hotel

The 59-room hotel is housed in a terrace of three Georgian townhouses. All rooms have comfortable beds, a flatscreen television and tea and coffee making facilities. Some people say that the rooms are a little shabby but it offers a higher standard of accommodation than other similarly priced independent hotels.

There are two on-site restaurants. Caffe Clifton is a great spot for coffee and cake and Racks Bar & Kitchen is ideal for lunch and dinner.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The hotel is well suited to people who prefer to stay somewhere with a little character rather than a big chain hotel.

Although it is not a particularly centrally located hotel, it is a lovely neighbourhood and there are plenty of interesting places within walking distance. From here it is around a five-minute walk to the Bristol Triangle (the commercial area near the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery that is noted for its bars and restaurants) and the Clifton Down and Clifton Village shopping areas are both a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Attractions within a 10-minute walk of the hotel include the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, Cabot Tower and the Royal West of England Academy (RWA).

Bus route 8 stops nearby, operating a regular service linking the hotel with Clifton Village and Bristol city centre.
