The Eastbourne Riviera Hotel is a small Victorian-era hotel on Eastbourne’s seafront. It is a good value place to stay that is one of Eastbourne’s better seafront hotels in the budget price range.
The Eastbourne Riviera Hotel has 36 guest rooms, all of which have comfortable beds, televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms.
For the most part, this hotel has been nicely renovated which makes a change from other budget hostels by the sea in Eastbourne. The refurbishment has left a hotel with common areas that feel sterile and lacking in atmosphere but at least the furniture is in good condition, unlike some other cheaper seaside hotels. Although the restaurant and reception areas are modern and well maintained, some of the guest rooms still have a tired and dated feel to them.
The hotel has a bar and restaurant that has an international menu and is a step up from other hotels in this price range. There is also a sun terrace and a dance floor and on some evenings there is live music.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel including the common areas and also the guest rooms.
The hotel has a lovely location overlooking the sea and it is only a few minutes’ walk north of the Eastbourne Pier. Other points of interest within walking distance include the Lifeboat Museum and the Eastbourne Heritage Centre are a 10-minute walk from the hotel and it is a 12-minute walk to both the Towner Art Gallery and the Redoubt Fortress. The town centre is only a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel and the railway station is a 12-minute walk away.Check prices and availability for the Eastbourne Riviera Hotel
