Exeter St David’s railway station

Although Exeter Central is a more centrally-located station, more trains stop at Exeter St David’s, making this Exeter’s principal railway station.  is about a 20-minute walk from the city centre.

The station lies on the main line linking both Bristol and London with Cornwall and it is served by three train operating companies: CrossCountry, GWR and South Western Railway.

From Exeter St Davids railway station, there are regular trains to Barnstaple, Birmingham, Bristol Temple Meads, Exmouth, London Paddington, London Waterloo, Paignton, Penzance and Plymouth. If you’re travelling to London, trains to Paddington station are more frequent are much faster than trains to London Waterloo.

The station is around a 20-minute walk from the city centre. There are frequent buses running between Exeter St Davids into the city centre and it is also possible to catch a train to the more centrally-located Exeter Central station.
