The Glastonbury Hotel is a family-run hotel by the seafront that is a good value place to stay, however, there are better hotels in Eastbourne.
Rooms at the Glastonbury are basic and the decor feels a little dated. The 59 hotel rooms have comfortable beds, flatscreen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in common areas but not in the rooms.
The hotel has a lift but it is one of those old-fashioned lifts with a metal gate rather than proper doors.
The hotel also has a bar and restaurant, which serves traditional English food. It also features live entertainment as well as bingo every evening.
This hotel tends to attract a lot of guests on coach tours so it may not be your cup of tea if you’re travelling independently.
The Glastonbury Hotel is located on Royal Parade facing the seafront with the beach right across the road. It is located around midway between Eastbourne Pier and the Eastbourne Redoubt Fortress (around a six- to seven-minute walk to either) and it is around a six-minute walk to the town centre, 14 minutes to the Lifeboat Museum, 17 minutes to the Towner Art Gallery and the railway station is a 17-minute walk from the hotel.
