Harrogate bus station

Harrogate bus station is on Station Parade, just outside Harrogate railway station. It is served by local and regional buses as well as long-distance coaches operated by National Express.

National Express coaches stop in Harrogate en route between Ashington (Northumberland) and London with direct service to Durham, Leeds, Milton Keynes, Newcastle upon Tyne, Ripon and Sheffield.

If you’re travelling to Leeds or Ripon, a cheaper (and more frequent) option is Harrogate Bus Company’s route 36, which stops in Harrogate en route between Ripon and Leeds. Route 36 services to Leeds run every 10 minutes on weekdays (less frequently on weekends) and every 20 minutes between Harrogate and Ripon.

Harrogate Bus Company’s routes 1, 1A, 1B and 1C run frequently between Harrogate and Knaresborough and is a cheaper and more frequent option than catching a train.
