Hastings is a busy rail hub with direct trains to other towns and cities in East Sussex including Battle, Brighton, Eastbourne and Rye as well as direct services to Ashford International (where you can transfer for Eurostar trains to Belgium and France) and London.
Southern has direct rail services to Ashford International, Brighton and Eastbourne and Southeastern have direct trains to London.
From Hastings railway station, there are hourly trains to Ashford International and London Victoria, two trains per hour to Brighton and London Charing Cross and three trains per hour to Eastbourne.
Although also served by bus, the train is ideal for day trips to both Battle and Rye.
Hastings is a modern railway station with a new station building that was built in 2004. The station has branches of WHSmith and Costa Coffee.
