Holiday Inn Express Manchester City Centre (Arena)

This Holiday Inn Express hotel is in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and is also just a short walk to the Shudehill bus and coach station and the Arndale Centre.

The hotel is a modern nine-storey building with 192 guest bedrooms. All rooms come with comfortable beds, flat-screen televisions, work desks, tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in all rooms and breakfast is included in all room rates.

The hotel has a bar on the ground floor where breakfast is served each morning. It is a clean and bright space for breakfast but it has all the charm of a hospital cafeteria and there are much nicer places in the immediate neighbourhood to go out for a drink.

Like other Holiday Inn Express hotels, it is a clean modern hotel with a high standard of accommodation but without the extra amenities that you would find in a higher rated hotel. Holiday Inn Express hotels are usually slightly nicer than other hotels catering to the same market, such as ibis, Premier Inn and Travelodge, although Holiday Inn Express also tends to be a tad more expensive than other hotels in the same category.

It is located at the northern edge of Manchester city centre but very close to the bars and restaurants of the Northern Quarter. It is a five-minute walk to the Arndale Centre, a 10-minute walk to the Central Retail District, the National Football Museum is an eight-minute walk and Manchester Arena is a 10-minute walk. The Shudehill bus and coach station is only a three-minute walk from the hotel, Manchester Victoria railway station is a 10-minute walk and it is a 15-minute walk to Manchester Piccadilly railway station.
