Hyatt Regency London Albert Embankment

The Hyatt Regency London Albert Embankment (formerly the Crowne Plaza London Albert Embankment) hotel is a good accommodation option within walking distance to many points of interest in Central London.

The hotel has 142 air-conditioned guest rooms that all have comfortable king-size beds, a flat-screen television with premium channels, a work desk, ironing facilities, a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms with bathrobes and White Company toiletries. Six of the rooms are wheelchair accessible.

Rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and many of the rooms offer spectacular views of the Houses of Parliament and the River Thames and some of the club rooms have balconies.

The hotel has two in-house restaurants. These include POTUS, which is a sophisticated spot with a North American-inspired menu, and Mezemiso, which serves unique Japanese-Lebanese fusion dishes and it boasts a shisha and cigar terrace that offers outstanding views of the Houses of Parliament.

The hotel is next door to the Park Plaza Riverbank and the immediate vicinity around the hotel is characterised by highrise office and apartment buildings; however, the location facing the River Thames means that it is a pleasant walk from here into Central London.

There are several points of interest nearby including Tate Britain, the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament), Westminster Abbey, the Florence Nightingale Museum, the Imperial War Museum and the Beefeater gin distillery, which are all within a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Within a half-hour walk you can visit the London Eye, the Churchill War Rooms, Buckingham Palace, the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery and Trafalgar Square.

Vauxhall is the closest tube station, which is a 10-minute walk from the hotel with frequent services on the Victoria line. There are also buses that stop outside the hotel including route 77 (to Waterloo station), 344 (to London Bridge and Liverpool Street station) and 360 (to Chelsea and South Kensington).

London Waterloo railway station is a 20-minute walk from the hotel and Victoria station is a half-hour walk away.
