Park Plaza London Riverbank

The Park Plaza London Riverbank hotel is an upscale four-star hotel in Lambeth that offers lovely views of Westminster from many of its rooms.

It is a large hotel with 645 guest rooms, which all have comfortable beds, a work desk, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Most rooms are 23m² (247 sq ft) and executive rooms are 26m² (280 sq ft).

Suites are larger with better amenities and separate living and sleeping areas. Suites at the Park Plaza London Riverbank range from 60m² (645 sq ft) to 65m² (700 sq ft).

It is a modern and well-maintained hotel but some aspects of the in-room decor can appear a little dated.

The hotel’s Chino Latino Restaurant & Bar is a popular spot for a bite to eat or drink, which has a pan-Asian menu and Latin-inspired cocktails.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The immediate vicinity around the hotel is characterised by highrise office and apartment buildings; however, the location facing the River Thames means that it is a pleasant walk from here into Central London.

There are several points of interest nearby including Tate Britain, the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament), Westminster Abbey, the Florence Nightingale Museum, the Imperial War Museum and the Beefeater gin distillery, which are all within a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Within a half-hour walk you can visit the London Eye, the Churchill War Rooms, Buckingham Palace, the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery and Trafalgar Square.

Vauxhall is the closest tube station, which is a 10-minute walk from the hotel with frequent services on the Victoria line. There are also buses that stop outside the hotel including route 77 (to Waterloo station), 344 (to London Bridge and Liverpool Street station) and 360 (to Chelsea and South Kensington).

London Waterloo railway station is a 20-minute walk from the hotel and Victoria station is a 30-minute walk away.
