ibis Styles London Walthamstow

The ibis Styles London Walthamstow hotel is a reasonably-priced hotel in Leyton in East London.

This hotel has 139 clean air-conditioned rooms that all have comfortable beds, a work desk, flat-screen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Some of the rooms, however, tend to be a little on the small side.

The hotel has a bar and lounge where you can have breakfast or a light meal later in the day but otherwise, there are not many facilities in the hotel’s public areas.

The colourful decor is not quite as nice as most other ibis Styles hotels and the fairly bland-looking brick building doesn’t quite fit in with the brand’s overall image either.

Although this hotel seems relatively modern; ibis Styles are generally older hotels that have been brought into the ALL-Accor Live Limitless family and given a makeover and often have quite a unique design. In contrast to the company’s other affordable hotel brands (like ibis and ibis budget) that have a certain cookie-cutter feel, ibis Styles hotels can vary quite a bit from one hotel to another and some of them have a lot of character but it is often an aesthetic that doesn’t appeal to everyone. There is a good chance that you won’t like this hotel but that doesn’t mean that you won’t love the next ibis Styles that you stay at.

The hotel is located in Leyton, a neighbourhood just south of central Walthamstow. It is only a couple of minutes’ walk from local shops as well as several pubs and restaurants. Although there are shops nearby, it is not a particularly convenient location as it is a decent walk to the closest station and even Walthamstow’s main attraction, the William Morris Gallery, is almost a half-hour walk from here.

Walthamstow Central station is around a 15-minute walk from the hotel, which easily adds a half-hour to any return trip into Central London. This is certainly nowhere near as convenient as the Walthamstow Travelodge, which is right next to the station. Walthamstow Central (in zone three) has Overground trains to London Liverpool Street and tube trains on the Victoria line. From here, it takes around 20 minutes to get into central London.

Parking is available, although there are only 18 car parking spaces and it costs £8 per night.
