The Marine Parade Hotel is a Victorian-era seafront hotel just a few minutes’ walk from Eastbourne Pier. It is a good value place to stay considering its prime location, however, some guests say that it feels a little tired when compared with more modern hotels.
It is a relatively small hotel with only 30 guest rooms, all of which have televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Many of the hotel’s rooms offer brilliant sea views although the rooms at the rear of the hotel are cheaper and therefore much sought after.
The decor is a little dated but it is reasonably clean and well maintained for the price.
Although the hotel has a lift to all floors, it is not wheelchair accessible as you have to climb a flight of seven stairs to get inside the building.
There is free Wi-Fi wireless internet access available in the reception area.
The hotel has a lounge area where you can enjoy a cream tea with a sea view and this area is where you will find the in-house bar. However, you’re better off going to the pub next door (the Crown and Anchor) if you feel like a drink.
The hotel gets mixed reviews but the general consensus is that the owners are very friendly and this is the main reason that many guests return year after year.

Although the hotel doesn’t have its own on-site car park, parking permits are available that let you park nearby at a very good rate.
