No. 15 Great Pulteney

No. 15 Great Pulteney is an upmarket hotel in a grand Georgian building on a grand Georgian Street, just a short walk from the centre of Bath.

The hotel has a much hipper vibe than you would expect for a hotel in a historic building and it tends to attract a younger crowd than most of Bath’s other boutique hotels.

The 37 hotel rooms all have comfortable beds, a flatscreen TV, a record player, tea and coffee making facilities (including a Nespresso coffee machine) and an en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower and 100 Acres Apothecary toiletries. Rooms range from 10m² (107 sq ft) to 55m² (592 sq ft) and one of the rooms is adapted for guests with disabilities.

Like a true boutique hotel, the rooms are individually decorated and no two rooms are the same.

The hotel’s public areas include a restaurant and bar plus spa treatment rooms in the basement.

The hotel restaurant is a lovely environment to enjoy good honest British fare made from seasonal locally sourced ingredients.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The hotel is around midway between Pulteney Bridge and the Holburne Museum on Great Pulteney Street, one of Bath’s grandest Georgian thoroughfares.

It is a lovely location, although it is not quite as conveniently located as many other hotels in Bath. Although there are not a lot of places to eat and drink in the immediate vicinity, it only takes three minutes to walk to Pulteney Bridge and on the other side of the bridge, you’ll find all the shops, bars and restaurants of the city centre.

From here you can walk to the Holburne Museum and the Victoria Art Gallery in around four minutes and all the main points of interest in Bath are no more than a 10–15-minute walk from the hotel.

It is around a 12-minute walk from the railway station and you can arrange to have your bags picked up if you want to walk from the station.

Off-street car parking is available but it costs £22 per night. However, you are entitled to a free parking permit that allows you to park on the street.
