A stay at the Paskins Townhouse takes you back to the 1920s and 1930s with a decor that includes an Art Nouveau reception area with Art Deco decor and period furniture throughout the hotel.

It is a small boutique hotel with 19 guest bedrooms, each different to each other but with a strong Art Deco style in most rooms. All rooms have comfortable beds (although some guests say that they are too soft) and they all come with tea and coffee making facilities. Not every room has its own en suite bathroom.

When booking, let the staff know if you would like a vegan room with vegan bedding.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel

Paskins Townhouse was one of Brighton’s original vegetarian-friendly hotels and it is noted for its excellent breakfast, which has 13 freshly-cooked dishes including plenty of vegan and vegetarian options including homemade vegan sausages. Although the breakfast is vegetarian-friendly, meat and fish options are also available and they go through at least fifty different varieties of sausages each year.

The hotel takes its environmental commitment very seriously. They don’t just buy organic food but also use the most ecologically-friendly appliances to consume as little energy as possible and the soap they use is so environmentally friendly that it is recommended by several organisations including the Vegan and Vegetarian Societies.

It is also a pet-friendly hotel where dogs are welcome; however, guests planning on bringing their dog must book over the phone and not online. They also have a policy of not allowing you to leave your pet in your hotel room so when you go out to explore Brighton, Rover needs to come along too.

The hotel is just a short walk to shops, bars and independent cafes in Kemptown and it is just a few minutes’ walk to the beach but most points of interest in the city centre, including Brighton Palace Pier, the SEA LIFE aquarium, The Lanes, Brighton Dome, Brighton Museum & Art Gallery and the Royal Pavilion are a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

Although the hotel does not have its own off-street parking, they are able to supply you with a parking voucher for £10 per day that will allow you to park in the residents’ only parking spaces on the street.
