Standard rooms at the Bristol City Centre (Finzels Reach) hotel feature a king-size Hypnos bed and a comfortable chair, a writing desk, a flat-screen television, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. The bathroom has a bathtub with a showerhead above it rather than a proper walk-in shower.

The immediate neighbourhood is a gentrified area with modern blocks of flats and office blocks that lies around midway between Temple Meads railway station and the city centre. It is a nice area, although some may find it a little sterile, which is only a one-minute walk from the floating harbour and it is around a five-minute walk through Castle Park into Bristol’s main shopping area.

It’s a nice location if you’re travelling by train with Bristol Temple Meads railway station less than a 10-minute walk away via a lovely waterfront pathway. However, it is not so good if you’re driving with no on-site car parking at the hotel and nearby parking costs £18.75 (and that’s the discounted rate for hotel guests).

Premier Inn is the largest hotel chain in the United Kingdom and it usually scores very high on customer surveys when compared to other UK hotel chains. It operates at the budget end of the market and provides a reasonably high standard of accommodation for the price, and is comparable to ibis and Travelodge hotels.
