The Premier Inn Bristol City Centre (Lewins Mead) hotel is a modern budget hotel in the heart of Bristol city centre.
Rooms at the Premier Inn Bristol City Centre (Lewins Mead) feature a king-size Hypnos bed and a comfortable chair (twin rooms have a double bed and a chaise longue/sofa bed), a writing desk, a flat-screen television, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. The bathroom has a bathtub with a showerhead above it rather than a proper walk-in shower.
This hotel has double, twin rooms and family rooms. Some wheelchair-accessible rooms are also available.
All rooms have free Wi-Fi wireless internet access (up to 1GB per day).
The hotel also features a Brewer’s Fayre restaurant, which has a menu that consists mostly of pub-style meals. The hotel restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner.
The hotel faces St James’ Park and is around a three-minute walk into the city’s main shopping district. Although it may not immediately seem like a particularly charming part of town, there is a lot of interest within a short walk from the hotel and the lovely Christmas Steps area is only a four-minute walk away.
It is well placed if you’re travelling by bus or coach as it is only a two-minute walk from Bristol Bus and Coach Station and a five-minute walk to the Megabus coach stop. There are also a couple of rental car places nearby if you want to take a day trip out to explore the Gloucestershire and Somerset countryside.
Premier Inn is the largest hotel chain in the United Kingdom and it usually scores very high on customer surveys when compared to other UK hotel chains. It operates at the budget end of the market and provides a reasonably high standard of accommodation for the price, and is comparable to ibis and Travelodge hotels.
