Pulteney House is a small hotel in a grand Victorian mansion on Pulteney Road in Bath’s Bathwick neighbourhood.
There are 10 guest rooms at Pulteney House, which all have comfortable beds, a television and tea and coffee making facilities. Most of the rooms have en suite bathrooms, although the small single room doesn’t have its own en suite facilities. Guests staying in this room need to leave their room to have a shower or use the toilet.
Guests also have access to a television lounge and there is also extensive gardens to enjoy.
The interior decor is a traditional style that is in keeping with the historic nature of the building, although some people may feel that it is a little dated.
Pulteney House is a great option if you prefer to stay somewhere with a little more character than the usual chain hotel.
It is located on Pulteney Road, a busy road in the Bathwick neighbourhood on the western bank of the River Avon. Although it is a very nice area, there is not a lot of options for eating and drinking in the immediate vicinity around the hotel. However, the Holburne Museum is only a five-minute walk away and it is less than a 10-minute walk into the city centre.
It has its own car park which makes it a good option if you’re driving.
