Swindon is on the Great Western main line, which links London Paddington with Bristol and it excellent transport connections to London, Gloucester, Wales and the West Country.

From Swindon, there are two trains per hour to Bristol Temple Meads and London Paddington and hourly services to Bath Spa, Cardiff Central and Gloucester.

All trains passing through Swindon are operated by GWR.
