In addition to standard rooms, this hotel also has SuperRooms, which are a bit like a premium economy room aimed at business travellers that don’t have the budget for a traditional business hotel. These rooms cost an extra £15 and are much bigger with a larger desk, more power points, a better shower and a Lavazza coffee pod machine.

It is important to note that this is one of the few Travelodge hotels that is not wheelchair accessible.

Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be much more expensive staying here during peak periods.

The hotel has an on-site bar and cafe near the reception area on the ground floor, however, this area doesn’t have a great deal of atmosphere and you are better off finding somewhere nearby for a bite to eat. Fortunately, the hotel’s city centre location means that there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.

This Travelodge is located at the northwestern end of the city centre within walking distance to several points of interest. The Western Approaches Museum is only a three-minute walk from the hotel, it is a five-minute walk to Mathew Street where you can find the Cavern Club and the Magical Beatles Museum, it is an 8–10-minute walk to the Pier Head where you can find the Royal Liver Building, the British Music Experience and the Museum of Liverpool. It is a 12–14-minute walk to Liverpool Lime Street railway station and the nearby cluster of sights including St George’s Hall, Liverpool Central Library, the Walker Art Gallery and the World Museum. Albert Dock (which includes the Beatles Story, the Merseyside Maritime Museum and Tate Liverpool) is around a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is close to Moorfields station, which is only a one-minute walk from the hotel.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
