In addition to standard rooms, this hotel also has SuperRooms, which are a bit like a premium economy room aimed at business travellers that don’t have the budget for a traditional business hotel. These rooms cost more and are bigger with a larger desk, more power points, a better shower and a Lavazza coffee pod machine.

Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods. It is one of the more affordable hotels in this part of London.

Marylebone is a great part of London to stay in. It has a cosy village-like feel to it, yet it is in central London and within walking distance to much that London has to offer. It is generally considered an expensive part of London, but this Travelodge makes it affordable.

Within a 15-minute walk, you can get to Hyde Park, Regents Park, the Alexander Fleming Museum, the Sherlock Holmes Museum, Madame Tussauds, the Wallace Collection and the western end of Oxford Street.

The hotel is right across the road from Marylebone railway station, which has direct trains to Birmingham and destinations in Warwickshire including Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick. It is also less than a 20-minute walk (or a five-minute bus ride) to Paddington railway station for trains to Wales and the southwest of England.

Marylebone tube station (on the Bakerloo line) is just a one-minute walk away and from here you can get to Oxford Circus in only five minutes. Marylebone tube station is in zone one and trains run every four minutes.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
