Travelodge London Liverpool Street

The Travelodge London Liverpool Street hotel is an affordable hotel in the heart of the City of London. It is close to London Liverpool Street railway station and most points of interest in the City and it is within walking distance to Shoreditch.

There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.

Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods. However, this hotel is one of the better value hotels in central London.

The hotel’s central City location means that there are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs within a short walk of the hotel and it is only a 15-minute walk (or a five-minute bus ride) north of here to Shoreditch, London’s most hipster neighbourhood.

It is walking distance to most points of interest in the City of London. The Gherkin is just a four-minute walk from the hotel, Spitalfields Market is a six-minute walk, Leadenhall Market is an eight-minute walk, the Bank of England Museum is a 10-minute walk, and Guildhall, the Monument, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London are all a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

It is located midway between Aldgate and Liverpool Street tube stations, with both stations only a four-minute walk from the hotel. Aldgate station is on the Circle and Metropolitan lines and Liverpool street is on the Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines. Both stations are in zone one. From Liverpool Street station you can be in Oxford Circus in just 10 minutes and Kings Cross St Pancras is only eight minutes away.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
