Best Western Lansdowne Hotel

The hotel has 102 guest rooms. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Two of the twin rooms are adapted for guests needing wheelchair access.

Some people find the decor a little dated although it does fit in nicely with the overall style of the building and the hotel is clean and well-maintained.

The hotel has a bar and restaurant and there are five lounges available where you can enjoy a coffee or afternoon tea. These lounges are often rented out for functions such as weddings, which means that not all of them may be available to guests at any one time. The sea view lounges are a particularly nice spot for afternoon tea.

The dining options are nothing special although they are nicer than many other hotel restaurants in Eastbourne and it is great to have this option for those times when you really can’t be knackered leaving your hotel to find somewhere to eat.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

Your dog can stay with you at the hotel (for a charge of £10 per dog) but not all rooms are dog-friendly so you need to let the hotel know that you’re bringing your dog when you make your booking. The bar area is dog-friendly at breakfast time and there is also a dog-friendly area where you can eat your dinner.

The hotel is located on the seafront overlooking the Western Lawns just south of the Devonshire Quarter. It is close to the Eastbourne Heritage Centre, the Lifeboat Museum and the Towner Art Gallery (all less than a five-minute walk from the hotel), The pier and the town centre are just over a 10-minute walk away and it is a 15-minute walk to the railway station.

There are 18 secure parking spaces that cost £10 per night and are available on a first-come-first-served basis. The car park has a 188cm (6ft 2 in) height clearance so it isn’t really suitable if you have a tall van. You can also buy permits for on-street parking for £1 per day.
