The da Vinci Hotel is a small hotel in a Grade-II listed building overlooking Howard Square, south of Eastbourne’s town centre.
The hotel bills itself as ‘the UK’s first art hotel’ and it includes an art gallery downstairs that has regular exhibitions showcasing works of local artists and some of the guest rooms have an art theme.
The da Vinci is a small hotel with only 19 guest rooms that range from small single rooms at the back of the hotel to the larger executive rooms that have an outlook over Howard Square. All the hotel rooms have comfortable beds, televisions, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms.
In most instances, your accommodation price includes a full English breakfast and there is also free Wi-Fi wireless internet access throughout the hotel.
While it is technically not a seafront hotel, it is only a one-minute walk to Grand Parade (Eastbourne’s seafront promenade). It is close to the Lifeboat Museum, the Eastbourne Heritage Centre and the Towner Art Gallery, which are all less than a five-minute walk from the hotel. It is not much farther to Eastbourne Pier (an eight-minute walk from the hotel) but the Redoubt is a 20-minute walk away. It is an eight-minute walk south of the town centre and it takes around 12 minutes to walk to the railway station.
