Holiday Inn Express Leeds City Centre

It is a modern hotel with 112 guest rooms. All rooms have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat-screen TV, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Some of the rooms are wheelchair accessible.

The Great Room is the hotel’s bar and lounge area near the ground floor reception area where the Express Start buffet breakfast, which is included in your room rate, is served every morning. You can also enjoy lunch and dinner at the hotel’s bar/restaurant including curries, panini and pizza.

There is free wired internet access in all rooms, but Wi-Fi wireless internet access is only free for IHG Rewards members. It is free to join the IHG loyalty programme and free Wi-Fi is available to all members, even those on the entry-level tier.

The hotel is located on Kirkstall Road, a major arterial road that runs through western Leeds. Although it may not appear to be the most vibrant part of town, there is quite a lot of interest within walking distance including the Emmerdale Studio Experience, which is only a three-minute walk from here. It is only a 10-minute walk to the edge of the city centre, although the main retail heart of the city is around a 20-minute walk from the hotel.

Although it is within walking distance to the city centre, there are better-located hotels in the same price range elsewhere in Leeds.

Both Kirkstall Road and nearby Burley Road handle major bus routes with frequent services into the city centre as well as regular buses to Halifax, Keighley and Leeds Bradford Airport stopping within a 2–3-minute walk from the hotel.

It is around an 18-minute walk to Leeds railway station and around a 25-minute walk to the Leeds City bus and coach station.
