Travelodge Leeds Central

Travelodge Leeds Central is a good value accommodation option with a brilliant location in Leeds city centre between The Calls and the railway station.

Rooms at the Travelodge Leeds Central are a mix of double, twin and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds (except for twin rooms, which have twin single beds), a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

In addition to standard rooms, this hotel also has SuperRooms, which are a bit like a premium economy room aimed at business travellers that don’t have the budget for a traditional business hotel. These rooms cost more and are bigger with a larger desk, more power points, a better shower and a Lavazza coffee pod machine.

There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.

This hotel also has a small bar and restaurant and its city centre location means that there are plenty of other places to eat and drink nearby.

Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods. In general, this hotel represents good value when compared with other hotels in the immediate vicinity.

The hotel has an excellent location on Swinegate at the southern edge of Leeds city centre, around midway between the railway station and The Calls. It is only a two-minute walk from the southern end of Briggate (Leeds main shopping street) and the western edge of The Calls (the gentrified area noted for its nightlife and restored brick warehouses). From here it is only a two-minute walk to the River Aire and a six-minute walk to The Tetley. It is very close to Leeds main shopping districts and only a four-minute walk to Trinity Leeds and the Corn Exchange, a six-minute walk to Leeds Kirkgate Market and a seven-minute walk to the Victoria Quarter.

The railway station is only a three-minute walk from the hotel and Leeds City bus station is around a 10-minute walk away.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
