London Marriott Hotel Kensington

It is a large hotel with 217 guest rooms, which all include comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathroom facilities. Some of the rooms are adapted for guests with disabilities.

There are also some suites, which offer more space with separate sleeping and living areas.

Although the hotel was built over 50 years ago, it was extensively renovated in 2014 and is clean and well maintained inside and it offers a high standard of accommodation.

The hotel’s Cast Iron Grill has an international menu with a focus on grilled meat and there are also plenty of other dining options nearby.

Guests staying in suites and executive rooms and members of the premium tier of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme have access to an executive lounge where you can enjoy complimentary breakfast and canapés.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in the hotel’s public areas but there is an additional charge for in-room Wi-Fi, although in-room internet access is free if you’re a Platinium Elite member (or higher) of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme (which is free to join).

The hotel is on busy Cromwell Road and most points of interest in Earls Court and Kensington are within walking distance. The South Kensington museums (the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and the V&A) are a 15-minute walk from the hotel and it is only an additional five minutes to walk to Kensington Palace, Hyde Park and the Royal Albert Hall.

The hotel is located around midway between Earls Court and Gloucester Road tube stations, which are both a 5–6-minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel’s proximity to Earls Court (District and Piccadilly lines) and Gloucester Road (Circle, District and Piccadilly lines) tube stations means that you can quickly get to other areas of London. From Gloucester Road you can get to South Kensington in three minutes (four minutes from Earls Court), Kings Cross St Pancras in 18 minutes (20 minutes from Earls Court), Piccadilly Circus in nine minutes (11 minutes from Earls Court) and Westminster in nine minutes (12 minutes from Earls Court). The Piccadilly line also serves as a direct link to Heathrow Airport with a journey time from Earls Court of around 35 minutes (38 minutes from Gloucester Road).
