The Courtyard by Marriott Heathrow Airport hotel is a relatively new airport hotel, which is one of the better places to stay on the Bath Road hotel strip.
The 244 air-conditioned hotel rooms all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a large flatscreen television, ironing facilities, a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathroom facilities with a walk-in shower. Some of the rooms are wheelchair accessible.
There are a lot of public spaces around the ground floor lobby area and this area includes a small business centre, the Kitchen & Bar restaurant, a breakfast area and lots of nice places to sit.
The Sky Bar on the top floor serves drinks alongside pan-Asian cuisine and it also has an outdoor terrace that offers excellent views of the runway.
Wireless internet access is available starting at £5 per day, although it is free if you are a member of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme (which is free to join).
The hotel is on the Bath Road hotel strip between a bowling alley and the Best Western Ariel hotel. Like other hotels on Bath Road, there is not a lot of interest in the immediate vicinity around your hotel, although you can walk to one of the other airport hotels if you want to try one of their bars or restaurants (the Best Western Ariel, the ibis London Heathrow and the Sheraton Skyline are all nearby) or you can pop next door for a spot of 10-pin bowling.
Like most of the Bath Road hotels, the Courtyard by Marriott is best located if you’re travelling from Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3.
The layout of the local road system means that it is not possible to walk to the terminal so you’ll have to catch a bus to the airport. Fortunately, there’s a bus stop right outside, which is served by bus routes 105, 111 and N9, all of which run between the hotel and the bus station that serves both Terminals 2 and 3. Buses run regularly so you shouldn’t need to wait longer than five minutes or so and the journey time is only five minutes.
Car parking is available for £15 per day.
