Park Plaza Leeds

The 20-storey building was originally an office building and it was the tallest building in Leeds between its construction in 1966 and 1973. The building underwent a thorough renovation and in 2004, and it was reopened as the Park Plaza Hotel. Although the building may not seem terribly attractive from the outside, it is much nicer inside than you would expect.

The hotel has 187 guest rooms, which all have comfortable beds, a work desk, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Executive rooms offer better views and more space, 32m² (344 sq ft) compared with 23m² (247 sq ft) for standard rooms.

Suites offer separate living and sleeping areas and are more spacious ranging from 45m² (484 sq ft) to 55m² (592 sq ft).

The hotel has a relaxing bar in the lobby area plus a more vibrant bar on the first floor. The bar/restaurant has a pan-Latin/Asian menu that features Latin and Asian inspired cocktails and meals.

Guest have access to a fitness centre and guest staying in the executive rooms have access to the executive lounge which includes complimentary beverages and canapes in the hotel’s 24-hour executive lounge.

It has the perfect location if you’re travelling by train. The hotel is located only a two-minute walk from Leeds railway station and most points of interest in the city centre are no more than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It is only a five-minute walk to the Leeds Art Gallery and the Henry Moore Institute and the Leeds City Museum is only a 13-minute walk from the hotel. Leeds’ main retail district, including Briggate, Leeds Kirkgate Market, Leeds Trinity and the Victoria Quarter, is no more than a 5–7-minute walk from the hotel.
