YOTEL Manchester Deansgate

The YOTEL Manchester Deansgate, formerly known as the Qbic Hotel Manchester, is a quirky hotel that offers a good value place to stay in a converted 1960s-era office building in central Manchester.

It is a relatively large hotel with 261 air-conditioned guest rooms. All rooms have comfortable beds, a small work desk, a flatscreen television and an en suite bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower. The in-room decor is quirky and fun but it won’t appeal to everyone and in many of the rooms, the TVs are positioned at the foot of your bed so it is only practical to watch telly when you’re in bed. Some of the rooms do not have windows; however, these are a little cheaper and they are indicated in the room type when making your booking so it’s unlikely that you’ll book one of these rooms by mistake.

Unlike many hotels, the rooms do not have tea and coffee making facilities; however, there are shared tea and coffee stations in the self-serve galley on each floor. There are also ironing stations in the self-serve galley.

Yotel is good value for money, particularly considering the hotel’s boutique-style interior decor and its central location.

Motley is the hotel’s cafe/restaurant/bar, which is open for lunch and dinner. The menu features burgers, flatbreads and larger meals that you can enjoy in an outdoor terrace.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The hotel is very centrally located between Spinningfields and the Central Retail District and many points of interest in the city centre are no more than a 5–10-minute walk away. In under 10 minutes you can walk to the Arndale Centre, John Rylands LibraryManchester Art Gallery, Manchester Cathedral, Manchester Central Library, Manchester Town Hall, the National Football Museum, the Peoples’ History Museum and the Science and Industry Museum.

Manchester Piccadilly railway station is just under a 20-minute walk from the hotel, although Salford Central station is only a seven-minute walk away.
