The Z Hotel Bath is a centrally located hotel that offers excellent value for money; however, some people complain that the rooms are a bit on the small side.
The hotel has 149 guest rooms over four floors which are all air-conditioned and have comfortable beds, a large flatscreen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Five of the rooms are wheelchair accessible.
The Z Hotel has Bath’s smallest hotel rooms with the smallest guest rooms starting at just 10m² (108 sq ft). The cheapest rooms have no windows so it’s really a place to simply spend the night rather than a place to linger.
The rooms have modern decor and are well designed to make the most of the limited space in the rooms. This design includes bespoke beds designed specifically for the hotel, which include under-bed storage spaces.
The hotel does not have a lot of public spaces, although there is a small bar and the hotel often puts on events such as food and wine nights to encourage guests to get to know each other.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
It is one of the most affordable hotels in the city centre, although it can be more expensive if you’re staying here on a Friday or Saturday night.
Z Hotels is a relatively small chain with one hotel in Bath, another in Liverpool and the remainder in central London. It is in the same budget price range as ibis budget or Travelodge but it has a more upmarket design and a hip vibe when compared to these larger budget hotel chains.
The hotel is on Saw Close, right across the street from the Theatre Royal. There are plenty of places to eat and drink right on your doorstep and most points of interest in Bath are no more than a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
