ibis Leeds Centre Marlborough Street

The ibis Leeds Centre Marlborough Street hotel is a good value place to stay just a short walk from the western edge of Leeds city centre.

The 13-storey hotel has 168 rooms, which all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat-screen television, tea and coffee making facilities (including an Illy coffee machine) and en suite bathrooms. However, the rooms are relatively compact, starting at just 12m² (129 sq ft).

The in-house restaurant, Fogg’s, has an international menu and it is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Fogg's, the hotel's bar/restaurant, isn't bad for a hotel in this price range; however, you're better off walking two minutes up the road to the Fox and Newt pub. (Photo: ALL – Accor Live Limitless)

Like other ibis hotels, this hotel is generally more design-focused than many hotels in the same price range, although the hotel’s exterior does look somewhat bland.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The hotel is located near a motorway junction on a road that is lined with hotels, office buildings and blocks of flats. It is not a particularly vibrant area as there are not a lot of places to eat, drink or shop in the immediate vicinity (although the Fox and Newt pub at the top end of Marlborough Street is worth a visit).

Although the location may not initially appear to be all that great, Leeds city centre is less than a 10-minute walk from here and it is around a 15–20-minute walk from the main shopping district in the city centre.

It is a 15-minute walk to Leeds railway station and around a 25-minute walk to Leeds City bus station.

There is a bus stop just a four-minute walk away (next to the Crowne Plaza hotel on the other side of the motorway junction) that has frequent buses into the city centre as well as buses to Halifax, Keighley and Leeds Bradford Airport.
