Bristol Harbour Hotel

The Bristol Harbour Hotel is an upscale boutique hotel in Bristol’s Old City. It represents an elegant accommodation option in one of the most attractive parts of the city centre.

The hotel is set inside two former Grade II-listed Victorian-era banks that have been converted into the hotel. The corner building was formerly a branch of NatWest and one of Lloyds’ main branches occupied the other building. The design of the old Lloyds building was influenced by St Marks Library in Venice and it features friezes by John Thomas who also did work on the Palace of Westminster.

The hotel has 42 air-conditioned guest rooms including three suites. All rooms have comfortable beds, a writing desk, a flatscreen TV, ironing facilities, a minibar, complimentary gin and sherry, tea and coffee making facilities including a Nespresso coffee machine and an en suite bathroom with bathrobes, a walk-in rainfall shower and White Company toiletries. Two of the rooms are set up for guests who require wheelchair access.

At 32m² (344 sq ft), the three suites are larger than the standard guest rooms and feature a free-standing bathtub and separate living and sleeping areas.

The hotel’s Jetty restaurant focuses on fresh seafood served in a spacious dining room plus outdoor dining on the Corn Street pavement and the Gold Bar is a cosy and sophisticated spot for cocktails.

One of the hotel’s main features is the spa in the old basement bank vaults. This includes a fitness centre, a hydrotherapy pool and an area for spa treatments. Guests have complimentary access to this area, although spa treatments come at an additional cost.

The Bristol Harbour Hotel is located in the heart of the historic part of the city centre directly across from St Nicolas Markets. From here is it only a three-minute walk to Castle Park, a six-minute walk to Queen Square and most of the waterfront attractions (including Arnolfini, Bristol Aquarium, the Matthew of Bristol, M Shed and We The Curious) are between a 10 and a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

Bristol Temple Meads railway station is a little over a 15-minute walk away, although you could take a four-minute walk to Welsh Back ferry dock and catch the ferry to the station.
