The 218-room budget hotel has accommodation in basic rooms that have comfortable beds, a flat-screen television, a small work desk and an en suite bathroom. The hotel has double and twin rooms as well as triple rooms that are set up with a double bed with a single bunk above it. Some of the rooms are wheelchair accessible.

Outside the rooms, the hotel amenities include a lounge area downstairs near the hotel reception that has vending machines and a seating area where guests can sit down and relax.

Ibis budget is the cheapest and most basic of the three tiers of the ibis brand and some ibis budget hotels were previously branded as Hotel Formule 1 or Etap hotels. Hotels in the ibis budget chain follow a certain cookie-cutter approach with identical rooms within the hotel and from one hotel to another. It’s a budget hotel that does exactly what it says on the tin. There’s nothing fancy about ibis budget, but it delivers on its budget promise with rooms that are simple, clean and cheap.

The hotel is surrounded by busy roads and it can feel a bit like you’re staying in the middle of a roundabout. While it may not feel like there is a lot in the immediate area, the Palace pub is right across the road (although it will take you around three minutes to cross the street) and it is only a three-minute walk to the River Aire.

It is at the southeastern edge of the city centre and there are many points of interest within a 10-minute walk, including Leeds Minster, the Calls, the Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds Kirkgate Market, the Corn Exchange and the Victoria Quarter.

From here it is only a four-minute walk to Leeds City bus station and a 14-minute walk to the railway station.
