The Leeds Marriott Hotel is a conveniently-located place to stay, only a couple of minutes walk from Trinity Leeds and Leeds railway station. It offers a high standard of accommodation and it is a step up from other Marriott hotels in the UK.
It is a large hotel with 244 guest rooms, which all have comfortable beds, a small sitting area, a work desk, a flat-screen television, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom.
Suites offer more space with separate living and sleeping areas and the Rochester Suite is arranged over two levels.
The hotel’s Cast Iron Grill has an international menu with a focus on grilled meat. A buffet breakfast is available but at £16.50 it is rather pricey. Fortunately, the hotel’s central location means that there are plenty of other dining options nearby.
The hotel also has a 24-hour fitness centre.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in the hotel’s public areas but there is an additional charge for in-room Wi-Fi (£10–12.50 per day depending on how fast you need your data).
The hotel has an excellent location on Trevelyan Square just off Boar Lane at the southern edge of Leeds city centre. It is right across the road from Trinity Leeds and only a three-minute walk from the railway station. It is just a couple of minutes from the southern end of Briggate (Leeds main shopping street) and the western edge of The Calls (the gentrified area noted for its nightlife and restored brick warehouses). From here it is a four-minute walk to the Corn Exchange, a five-minute walk to Leeds Kirkgate Market, six minutes to the Victoria Quarter and seven minutes to The Tetley.
Parking is available at the nearby Trinity Leeds shopping centre and hotel guests can park for a daily rate of £15. Valet parking is also available for £20 per day.
