Roomzzz Aparthotel Leeds

Compared with the Headingley and Leeds West Roomzzz Aparthotels, this is a relatively small hotel with 36 self-contained apartments that vary considerably with five different classes of room ranging from the compact Smart Studio to the more spacious Maxima Suite.

The Smart Studio is Roomzzz’s entry-level studio apartment and these come with a comfortable double bed, a flatscreen television, a work desk, a small kitchen, ironing facilities and an en suite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower. Although these are the smallest option at Roomzzz, they are larger than your average hotel room.

The Grande Studio is the next step up, offering similar amenities with a little more room.

The Elegance Suite and Liberty Suite are a little larger and come with all the features of the Smart Studio with a few extras. The Elegance Suite comes with a balcony and the Liberty Suite has separate sleeping and living areas with a sofa bed and an extra TV.

The Maxima Suite is the most spacious option, sleeping up to four people. Like the Liberty Suite, it has separate sleeping and living areas with a sofa bed and an extra TV.

All these apartments have kitchenettes that are not fully-equipped. All come with a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a hob and tea and coffee making facilities as well as all the basic utensils you should need, but there is no proper oven. In other words, you can make pasta or a casserole but you can’t bake a cake or make pizza. Some of the apartments also have a dishwasher.

All apartments are air-conditioned and free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel complex.

There are laundry facilities here as well as ironing facilities in the apartments, which makes it an excellent place to stay if you need to do some laundry.

Although the rooms are nice and spacious, there are no other communal spaces in the hotel other than a spot where you can pick up a complimentary ‘grab and go’ breakfast, however, there are also a few places to eat and drink nearby.

The apartment hotel has a great location next door to the Cosmopolitan Hotel and across the road from the Malmaison. It is at the southern end of Briggate (Leeds main shopping street) and at the western edge of The Calls (the gentrified area noted for its nightlife and restored brick warehouses). From here it is only a one-minute walk to the River Aire, a four-minute walk to The Tetley and a five-minute walk to the railway station. It is very close to Leeds main shopping districts and only a two-minute walk to Trinity Leeds and the Corn Exchange, a four-minute walk to Leeds Kirkgate Market and a five-minute walk to the Victoria Quarter.
