It has a sleek and modern design with a colour palette of black and various shades of grey that shows some Art Deco influences.

The 84 guest rooms all have comfortable beds, a large smart flatscreen television with the full Sky package, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a rainfall shower. Several of the rooms are wheelchair accessible and Executive and Deluxe rooms also feature bathrobes, slippers and Nespresso coffee machines.

There are also several suites, which offer more space and amenities plus separate living and sleeping areas.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in all rooms and suites.

The hotel has an excellent bar and restaurant. The Dakota Grill has a focus on grilled meat and the Dakota Bar is a sophisticated spot for cocktails with an impressive selection of gin. Both the bar and restaurant have a clubby atmosphere, a bit like a modern version of a private members club.

There are plenty of other places to eat and drink nearby. La Bottega Milanese (a great place to start your day) is right across the road from the hotel and it is close to the bars and restaurants on Greek Street and Park Row (the hotel backs onto Greek Street).

Most points of interest in the city centre are no more than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It is less than a five-minute walk to the Leeds Art Gallery and the Henry Moore Institute and the Leeds City Museum is around an eight-minute walk from the hotel. Leeds’ main retail district, including Briggate, Leeds Kirkgate Market, Leeds Trinity and the Victoria Quarter, is between a four- and a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Leeds railway station is around a four-minute walk from the hotel and the bus and coach station is a 10-minute walk away.
