Malmaison Leeds

Malmaison Leeds is a great accommodation option, offering a central location and more atmosphere than your average four-star hotel. Despite being a 100-room chain hotel, it has the character of an independent boutique hotel.

All guest rooms have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen telly, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. The Signature Suites offer more space with separate living and sleeping areas, extra amenities and more emphasis on design but they may not be to everyone’s taste.

The hotel has a bar and restaurant and guests are able to order from a 24-hour room service menu.

The Chez Mal bar has comfortable sofas and a chic atmosphere making it a nice spot to enjoy a drink. The ambiance here is relaxed during the day although it can get quite busy on a Friday or Saturday night.

The Chez Mal Brasserie is the hotel’s restaurant, which features exposed brickwork, red leather seating and unique lighting. Its menu focuses on classic European brasserie-style dishes and the standard of the food is a step up from your average chain hotel. Chez Mal’s Sunday lunch is particularly good and well worth it if you’re staying here on a weekend.

Malmaison Leeds has an excellent location at the southern edge of Leeds city centre. It is at the southern end of Briggate (Leeds main shopping street) and at the western edge of The Calls (the gentrified area noted for its nightlife and restored brick warehouses). From here it is only a one-minute walk to the River Aire, a four-minute walk to The Tetley and a five-minute walk to the railway station. It is very close to Leeds main shopping districts and only a two-minute walk to Trinity Leeds and the Corn Exchange, a four-minute walk to Leeds Kirkgate Market and a five-minute walk to the Victoria Quarter.
