Harrington’s Hotel is a small independent hotel in the centre of Bath, which offers a high standard of accommodation with more charm than your average chain hotel.
The hotel is named after Sir John Harington, a former resident of the Georgian-era building who is credited with inventing the flushing toilet.
It is a small hotel with only 13 guest rooms, which all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, tea and coffee making facilities (including an espresso machine) and en suite bathrooms. The decor can vary from one room to another and the interior styling can best be described as eclectic with quirky touches.
The hotel does not have a lift so it is not suitable for guests with disabilities.
Although it is only a small hotel, there is a room where breakfast is served and it has its own lounge bar. There is also a hot tub in the hotel’s private courtyard, although there is an additional fee if you want to use it.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The hotel is right in the historic centre of Bath and there are loads of places to eat and drink within an easy walk from the hotel including an excellent pub, The Raven, right across the street.
The Jane Austen Centre, Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein and the Theatre Royal are all within a two-minute walk from the hotel and a five-minute walk will take you to the Assembly Rooms, The Circus, the Fashion Museum, the Museum of East Asian Art, Pulteney Bridge or the Victoria Art Gallery.
