Mercure Leeds Centre

The Mercure Leeds Centre hotel is a small hotel in a quiet location at the western end of Leeds city centre.

It is a relatively small hotel in a brick building with 59 guest rooms. All rooms have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities (including an Illy coffee machine) and en suite bathrooms. Basement rooms have a lightbox in place of a window. Most rooms are a relatively compact 14m² (151 sq ft).

The hotel’s bar/restaurant, The Loom, has a decor inspired by the city’s tailoring heritage and a casual dining menu with burgers and British classics.

The hotel is on a quiet street at the western end of the city centre. There are a few places to eat and drink within the immediate vicinity of the hotel and it is less than a 10-minute walk to the heart of the city where there is a much larger range of places to eat, drink and shop.

Most points of interest in the city centre are between a 10- and a 20-minute walk from the hotel. This includes the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds Art Gallery, Leeds City Museum and The Tetley as well as the main shopping hubs including Briggate, the Corn Exchange, Leeds Kirkgate Market, Trinity Leeds and the Victoria Quarter.

The hotel is an eight-minute walk from the railway station and a 17-minute walk (or a five-minute bus ride) from the bus and coach station. There are also nearby bus stops on Wellington Street that have buses going to the bus and coach station every few minutes and there are also regular buses to Halifax, Keighley and Leeds Bradford Airport.
